STEM Centers

Since 2015 CultivAid has been working together with Kallamino high school to implement different applied science activities. The collaboration with the STEM center aims to provide students with scientific experience through hands on work. The resources at the STEM center provide student an opportunity to design and create practical tools that can be used in agriculture. In addition innovative concepts can be tested. Students were able to choose from a list of projects or suggest their own concept to be developed together with CultivAid local stuff.

CultivAid’s experiments have focused various aspects of soil, water and plant sciences. Experiments have evaluated different fertilizer regiments, crop varieties, seedling production and water quality. Together students have built and operated hydroponic systems. Further course development is introducing water technologies and providing both theoretical and practical knowledge in water technologies.
